Vibrant colours and a joyfully honest perspective on the female form can be expected by illustrator and designer Bobbi Rae. Her work ‘promises to bring you vivid colour, vivacious ladies and a barrel of laughs’; her appearance in this exhibition is not to be missed. Bobbi Rae is known for playful illustration practice as well as her big and bold murals as part of creative duo Modes of Expression.
Local up and coming independent business The Prawn Shop explores the female form in illustrations and flamboyant merchandise. Soon to be graduating from Leeds Arts University, Georgia Hamilton of The Prawn Shop recently debuted her newest collection at her successful launch party, held at The Old Red Bus Station earlier this month.
This exhibition also hosts the work of many of LAU’s soon to be graduates, including printmaker and painter Ruby Shelton and local feminist activist artist Liv Talbot. Female Gaze will exhibit an array of ‘ones to watch’ coming into the creative industry, each giving their take on the female experience!
