We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to our No Turkey Christmas Dinner events, and the book is now firmly shut for the 10th and 17th of December. There’s still an opportunity to get involved in the festive feasting after our Simon on the Street charity cook-up on the 05th; but be quick as we’ll soon be packed to the rafters.
For those of you who were quick enough to the draw and bagged a table, you’re in for a real treat, it’s official. You can now feast your eyes on our brand-new menu exclusively for Christmas, trimmings and all. For £15 you’ll have the opportunity to tuck into one of two main dishes, and enjoy a glass of house-beer, house-wine or a soft drink of your choice. If you’d prefer to branch-out with your bevvy, we’ve got an extensive bunch of vegan beers and wines on our list for the taking.
First up, in the grub department, we’ve got the No Turkey for Christmas Mega-Roast featuring our own succulent seitan turkey slices; and secondly The Nut Shot with Bells On; a hearty butternut squash and quinoa nut-roast – topped off with all the trimmings. Each dish will be accompanied with our signature plant-based Yorkshire puddings, handmade cruelty-free smokey-crackling, thick rich caramelised red onion gravy and a dollop of tasty gooey cranberry sauce. Simply can’t decide? Don’t panic! Enjoy the best of both for just £1 extra. ‘Tis the season and all that, so why not? Especially for only a quid. There’ll also be a couple of festive desserts available, for those with a little bit of room left under the tree.
We’re pretty excited for the flaming Christmas puddings, not gonna lie. Oh, and the Vegan Banana and Chocolate Ice-Cream. Cantina are firm believers that turkeys are for life, not just for Christmas – so we’re seriously looking forward to our first cruelty-free Christmas with the vegetarian and vegan community of Leeds. See you soon.
