Space Dolphin presents a night of beats, bars and bands monthly at the Old Red Bus Station. Born from a mutual love of groove and improvisation, More Than Soul hosts a plethora of local talent playing a variety of Hip Hop, Soul and Jazz. The house band also encourage musicians and MC's alike to join in and jam out with them throughout the night with improvised jams and poetry slams.

The night also includes live art provided by @jaypeeart in which he creates a piece of art each month and paints his 1M x 1M works which are completed during the event and raffled off to the highest bidder.

Hip Hop Improv outfit from Leeds UK.
A hip hop, jazzy jam experience, Space Dolphin aims to bring people together through the love of live music. Born from a mutual love of groove and improvisation, Space Dolphin have been playing up and down the U.K., collaborating with a plethora of talented musicians and MC's expanding their sound, ensuring each performance is as unique and bespoke as the tastes of each collaborative member.
2017 has seen Space Dolphin perform with the likes of Fold for the launch of their new E.P. 'Written In The Sky' and the likes of Motormouf, and Phenician Gold with their monthly hip hop nights 'More Than Soul' and 'Beats & Bars' hosted between Nottingham and Leeds. Space Dolphin will be performing with Dr. Syntax and Pete Cannon in February, and March will see them supporting Rye Shabby at Rough Trade in Nottingham.

Rogan is a 3-piece live electronic band from Leeds, UK, taking inspiration from the city’s thriving house, dub-reggae and jazz scenes to create their own flavour of EDM.
The band spend most of their time annoying the neighbours from their bedroom studio. They use drums, guitar and analogue synths alongside live looping and sampling to create their soundscapes. With a shared love of innovation, they’re always experimenting to find new ways to generate and perform their sounds whilst keeping open to collaboration with other musicians and vocalists.
With past releases on labels such as Wagram Music and Jon Kennedy Federation, Rogan have been putting out downtempo electronic music in various forms for a number of years. A recent upgrade to the studio has given them the opportunity to reshape their music to a more uptempo sound whilst still containing some of the feel from the older material. Keep an eye out for some new releases coming later in 2017.

11:45 pm - Space Dolphin Presents - More Than Soul Train (Open Jam)
For a love of all things funky, the house band perform for you a selection of Hip Hop classics which sample some of the best funk, soul and disco breaks from 70's best Soul Train. Expect to hear Jackson 5, James Brown, Kool And The Gang, Chic, The Isley Brothers and The Temptations sampled in these hip hop classics.
MC's and musicians are welcome to join us to cypher and jam along with us as we play out the set.
