Unity Day 2018

We are very pleased to be hosting the afterparty for this years Unity Day, a celebration of the Leeds community with guests Ray Keith, Kumarachi, Akash in Dub and many more.

This year, The Old Red Bus Station is hosting the official afterparty for Unity Day.

We’re delighted that we have been asked to be involved for the third time with this highly anticipated event and highlight of the Leeds calendar.

We'll be joining in the celebrations with a range of music across our venue, including sets from the original Jungle terrorist Ray Keith, Leeds finest Dub & Reggae selector Akash in Dub and of the foremost new innovators in Drum & Bass Kumarachi, alongside a great wealth of local talent to celebrate the diversity of the music scene in Leeds.

Our very own Cantina will also be running a stall at Unity Day providing our signature plant based dishes at a highly affordable price.

The menu that can be found on the day includes Fauxfish & Chips, Seitan Hellfire Burgers and our classic seitan Hot Dog all served with chips & a side salad.

Unity Day sheds positivity on the culture and people of the LS6 area in Leeds. Following riots in 1995, the area lost the Newlands pub and generated a wave of negative press against itself. In a bid to work through this intense media coverage, the community of LS6 has used Unity Day to bring together its people and the talent of performers, bands and artists since 1996.

A completely free, volunteer-oriented event, Unity Day is a true product of community effort.
