Since 2016, The Old Red Bus Station has served as a home for underground bass music, championing culture, art & ethical eating from our base on Vicar Lane.
As one of the many venues in the world facing the extremes of Covid-19, Old Red has had to find new avenues to explore, as we endeavor to continue to promote the culture we love in Leeds.
The venue has also worked alongside some of the best up-and-coming DJs in the city on our Leeds for Love and Blend It Like Beckham live-streams allowing us to continue to champion the music we love and promote the artists we feel are about to break out.
The government's cultural recovery fund, which we were thrilled to receive, laid out our obligations to continue to facilitate artistic output during the ongoing pandemic and lockdowns, and have been the best way to continue to give opportunities to local artists across a range of platforms.
Music and arts play a huge role in mental health and the well-being
of many of our customers, and we feel it is important to create a dialogue to share our experiences throughout the pandemic, and help overcome the barriers we’ve all faced throughout the last year.
Despite the incredible support from the Leeds scene, we still need your help.
